Why would parents STOP home-schooling their children?

cynthiamatthews@ymail.com asked:

My parents used to home-school me. Then they quit {I was 8 when they quit }, but they started up again when I was nine. Now, I’m 16, and home-schooled once again. My parents NEVER tell me WHY they home-schooled me, and why they quit, but started up again.
Why would parents STOP home-schooling a kid?
I keep asking my parents to tell me, but they won’t. I asked why they won’t tell me, and they said I’m “not mature enough to know.” I’m 16, for crying out loud!!
